I recently tried the restaurant and I must say I was pleasantly surprised by their Chicken Marooch. It was absolutely delicious! The flavor was amazing, and the texture of the chicken was perfect. The service was also excellent, and the restaurant's ambiance was very welcoming. I can't wait to go back and have it again. I highly recommend this restaurant to all food lovers!

Always a busy restaurant. Regardless which day of the week you go there you always find them busy. Chicken Maroosh is the hit item on their menu but others are good too. People all over the states come to try this if they are going from nearby. It’s very interesting how they manage all the orders in time. The only challenge is they don’t take dine in orders over the phone and you have to order at the counter only. I am sure they have their policies but it would be helpful sometime to order ahead to beat the in house traffic.

I was really excited to eat from this restaurant. I ordered a cheesesteak, chicken wings and the chicken maroosh. They could’ve gotten a star review but upon starting the second half of my cheesesteak I bit something and had to chew it longer than usual so I investigated what it was and I was chewing on a piece of what I think was meat paper. Unacceptable. I ordered deliver so this let me know that the safety and sanitary regulations are under code. No serving people paper in their food. I was highly upset because it was good and I wanted to have my meal. The chicken wings were foreign object free and tasty but will never visit or purchase from this restaurant. Just completely irked!!! That’s what I get for trying a foreign cheesesteak ( not my Philly original). I know better now though

Saad’s Halal Restaurant is a must-visit spot in University City for anyone craving delicious, high-quality halal food. Their cheesesteaks and platters are some of the best in Philly, packed with flavor and perfectly cooked. The portions are generous, the prices are reasonable, and the service is always friendly. Whether you’re in the mood for a classic gyro, crispy falafel, or their famous chicken shish tawook, you won’t be disappointed. Highly recommend for students, locals, and anyone looking for an authentic and satisfying meal!
